⚖️How does billing work?

Here you can find what devices or Microsoft licenses are considered to be licensed.

Scappman uses an enterprise application to check the amount of Intune Devices or Microsoft licenses with an Intune entitlement in your tenant.

Based on that amount of assigned licenses, we will bill you per tenant. The amount of licenses can be checked on the dashboard of your tenant. For customers onboarded after April 2023, Scappman will use the device count to calculate the necessary amount of licenses for your tenant instead of licensed users.

Device based licensing (new customers, onboarded after April 2023)

Every Windows device that is added to Intune will be counted.

User based licensing (existing customers, onboarded before April 2023)

Every assigned Microsoft license that has an lntune entitlement and is assigned to a user will be counted. Currently these licenses are in scope:

• Microsoft 365 Business Premium

• Microsoft 365 F1

• Microsoft 365 F3

• Microsoft 365 E3

• Microsoft 365 ES Enterprise Mobility + Security E3

• Enterprise Mobility + Security E5

• Microsoft 365 Government G3

• Microsoft 365 Government G5

• Intune for Education

• Microsoft 365 Education A3

• Microsoft 365 Education A5

• Microsoft Intune Device

If a user has multiple computers, we will update the applications on all their devices, if the application is assigned to that user and the devices are enrolled in Intune.
